So yes theft of rooftents can occur however you are much more likely to have your Defender stolen.

The Manbo bars are designed so that you can not readily get to the roof tent bolts. Tamper proof bolts on the Manbo bars makes it more difficult to remove the bars and roof tent.

Roof tent fitted to a Patriot rack, unless you have extremely thin forearms it is not possible to get at the bolts. I have to winch up back of rack t get roof tent off.
