TPMS by Comatra
TPMS by Comatra
4 & 6 Wheel versions
Well I brought this a while ago and time had conspired against me however I had a small window on Saturday Morning so into the workshop I went.
The Supplied kit is well packaged and clear concise instructions are included.

Having a fully equipped workshop helps but a friendly local tyre shop is good as well for the actual fitting.

Firstly remove the wheels from vehicle / trailer .

Defender process break bead on valve side .
Push tyre down by hand .
Remove old valve.
Fit new TPMS sensor tighten to no more than 7nM(use correct valve number for wheel position as per enclosed diagram) .

Reseat tyre and re balance (The new TPMS valve will affect your wheel balance).

Trailer tyres require full removal as they are 10” ones then the process is basically the same

Trailer as I tow for business & play I retained the Mobile option and it plugs into the cig lighter in the nominated tow vehicle Defender or Vito (even the Jump pack )

Why did I choose Comatra well it was the friendly people at the end of Phone and E-mail and the monitor options are by far the neatest I seen
What would I change well only the valve stem colour to black and perhaps a slightly thinner monitor or one that could be recessed fitted to the dash but that’s me being fussy

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green
