WANTED: Austin 7 open top 'Tourer' 'Nippy' etc
Hi,

My wife would like an Austin 7 soft top, her dad has a box saloon I think?

She would like a soft top either tourer, nippy etc. I am not too knowledgable on them but we cannot find a nice one Sad She has a good budget so hopefully a nice one will turn up.

A long shot I know but worth a try, here is a picture of her dads owned it for many many years I believe Thumbs Up .

Thanks, Steve

Wouldn't we all.

I still, to this day, regret that I couldn't afford my friend's Austin Seven soft top when he sold it in 1969 ... he wanted £15.

Good luck with the search, and apologies for posting something which is of absolutely no use to you!!

You never know, someone might know of one. Otherwise it's the obvious routes such as classic car sites and Owners Club.

Brilliant Very Happy

They are nice cars, really good useable classic cars. I guess you get a good one and keep it.

There are a couple of good ones about but just a little too much money. We may just go and have a look at them to see if they really are as good as they are asking ?

Going to show that picture to Nicola Very Happy

Hi Steve, if you're still looking for an A7, I have a mate who happens to have several, including one he races with the VSCC. He's highly regarded in A7 circles and although I doubt if he'd be parting with one of his own, he does know of one that's come up for sale. I'll PM you his name/contact no.
Tell him Dave Terry sent you.
Cheers.

If you want two - heres another Thumbs Up One year older than yours http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C304443

I'd love this http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C302915 A club of 5 of them turned up locally a few years ago, really impressive with simple solid mechanics - apart from blimmen magneto's which i never seem to get on with Rolling Eyes

Hi Zag,

We picked one up last weekend, just what Nicola wanted a 1930 Chummy. Just waiting for some nice weather now to go for a run.

That dealer price is rather a lot Shocked
