1991 Defender 90 200 Tdi ST Alpine White

Slave cylinder7bearing

I just had my clutch changed a month ago at 84.000 km. I thought it wise to change the slavecylinder/bearing as well. Ordered all from a big parts dealer in the UK - and received a slavecylinder/bearing that had no markings at all. I guessed it was ok. and changed it all - the cylinder lasted for 3 weeks.........S.N.A.F.U.....
My advice is nothing but an original Ford or LR..

just found out that it was the friction plate and not the slavecylinder.. added picture in another post

59 plate - 30k - just back from dealers - new clutch

might be back very soon as not impressed with how it feels -

previously there was a little movement on the pedal before you felt it bite - now 1mm from hard down and its biting -

never in my 30 odd years of driving have i ever had a vehicle like that -

is there adjustment on these ? Defender 110 County SW

My tuppence is you'll always hear from the guys with trouble as against the trouble free ones. Mines a 07 with 75k miles.....one clutch change at 40k due hard towing......good bite from clutch 35k later but a easier life with me. Current...07 90 Puma commercial

New Clutch 4 weeks ago - not been happy with it since - Master Cylinder replaced yesterday - no better - now being stripped down again and looks like slave to be replaced -

Whilst its a pain having it off road - its due to be used heavily over the next 2 moths so I need it to be right -

Can't fault the dealers - they have been fab with this -

So hope to have it back all sorted and right on Monday Defender 110 County SW

Took the truck to the local stealer yesterday. Put it in low range, idled up and down the showroom, and the service advisor hears the rattle. I show it to him in low 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Up and down the showroom floor. He agrees it rattles.

A few hours later, he calls me to inform me that the technician cannot reproduce #facepalm. --

" of faulty clutch kits (lately). Puma 110" SW
