Puma Clutch
I know there has been discussion on here re the clutches and known problems / upgrades.

When mine went in for its first 12,000 mile service a few weeks back I commented on a slight vibration when asked if I had noticed any 'snags'. They phoned back in the afternoon to arrange for it to be delivered back and said that they'd spoken to Landrover about the vibration and rattle (so minor I'd not noticed it - or at least got used to it slowly and put it down to normal) and that Landrover had advised that the clutch could need looking at.

So it went in on Weds and I picked up a loan Freelander - they said the parts were in and they would be fitting a new clutch whatever they found.

Picked it up this evening - and jeez is it quiet and smooth. I can now appreciate the noise etc they picked up on at the service.

And even better it now has a set of black wingtops and has had a full valet.

Out of interest do you know what was wrong with the clutch. When mine went it was one of the springs had come out and was rattling around inside the pressure plate, sometimes jamming the pressure plate and stopping the clutch from releasing fully. Whats broken now ?
