The 110 is a LR Special Vehicles for Western Power. I was told it has a BMW 2.5 TDS engine. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

It'll be a Td5 like any other. The seller doesn't know their Defenders.

TD4 is/was used in Freelander. Puma has never been TD4, it's TDCI (whatever that means). Agree TD5 is not a BMW engine, it's the last proper LR-commissioned engine for Defender, and there probably won't be another. |

So the 2.2 Puma is not the the same engine as what's in the TD4 freelander?

No, completley different engine's. Mk 1 Freelander Td4 was a BMW M47 Diesel Mk 2 Freelander Td4 is a Peugeot/ Citroen DW12 Diesel Richard Either a 90, 110 or 130. Discovery 5 |

Funnily enough we (in the UK) are the only folk who call the 2.4 defender the Puma. On the continent they are generally referred to as the TD4 to distinguish them from the earlier TD5.
