Scotland 2002 Defender 90 Td5 HT Zambezi Silver
I've got an '02 TD5 and the front suspension drove me nuts, it was so harsh; hitting a minor bump felt like going over a high kerb, with a heck of a 'bang' from the front end.. I put softer springs on (from a Disco or Range Rover, can't remember now) and Bilstein black shocks from http://www.mm-4x4.com/ they are much cheaper and (I think) give a softer ride than the yellow ones. Made a heck of a difference. Standard factory ones seem to be the cheapest of the cheap.
90 standard springs are heavy duty ones for a Disco, and a Disco weighs 400Kg more than a 90... Wonder why a 90 suspension is hard...??? As Sasha implied, it all depends what you're doing.. I never go offroad..

This might be useful. http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/springinfo.html Make the most of this life, you may not have skis or a Landy in the next.

Swapped mine last year for the terrafirma +2" kit - - made a massive difference to the one on but as has been siad will depend upon what and how you plan to use it.

On my truck cab I went for britpart Cellular ( orange ones) but afyer fitting a Warn 8250 and heavy duty bumber I went for twin shock mounts - what a difference can race across a field and it is really smooth. as for speed bumps etc - well ni issue to suspension just the rest of the truck that rattles Very Happy Defender 110 County SW
