I think you might struggle at that money, especially for a CSW. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

2 nice one's were for sale a couple of months ago I mentioned on the forum Sad

Found one of them, it was an Epsom Green 300Tdi, R reg, £5995 with 117.000 on the clock but a very nice example, no lifts, offroading. not messed with, no rot on bulkhead etc, a well cared for really nice example, was at Country Vehicles Tel 0115 965 2204. Sorry can't remember where I saw the other one!

How about this 1 owner, G reg, 13000 mile example for £10,995 Shocked

http://www.dieselcentre.com/used_land_rove..._11422.htm

Good firm but definitely not cheap Whistle

They also have a supposedly genuine 14,000 miler on a galv chassis Confused Perhaps a re-con engine!

Prices will always be barmy but that is good as it won't depreciate like a D2, you can always sell it but an old D2 will just go for silly money once you have had use of it. People demand a Defender, plenty of D2 in supply Confused Defender every time for me Thumbs Up Depends what you are using it for though!

Spotted this, right on my doorstep but I have a sneaky feeling it could be dodgy, what do you reckon? It seems a nice build but I also wonder why you would do this rather than replace the original TD5 chassis and am thinking that it's an easy way to hide a stolen TD5 by putting it on a legit older chassis?

Thoughts?

Only way to find out is ask them for the chassis number & engine number & see if either come up as stolen !

or go & see it & get same info & then check it out, especially the chassis number, would be surprised if it conveniently has not had a chassis repair by where the chassis number is.

I'm not 100% sure if engine numbers are recorded for stolen vehicle's but they might.

Generally if it looks too good to be true it usually is.

On the other hand it might be legite so could get a bargain whilst we all sit back & say too cheap must be a ringer !!

Visual inspection me thinks

For starters if it is right that

the only origional part is the chassis
then it should be a Q reg.

Where did all those TD5 bits come from? Does he have kosher receipts? It looks way too good to be true and I can't imagine why anyone would do this.

What time we going for a look? Whistle

It ONLY has its original chassis. Or put it another way, it is a different vehicle with its identify hidden by placing it on an older (cheap to buy) chassis......
