1998 50th (LE)Anniversary edition 300TDI
Limited run of these made in commercial spec but this one was converted to CSW and built to a very high "challenge spec". Was also featured over 4 pages in LRM August 2006, I have a copy to go with the car. Box of receipts and reports for +£20k Most of the work done by Devon 4x4 & Scorpion racing Only selling due to lack of use and its worth too much to have on "standby". 300TDi Engine with Allisport intercooler, header tank and silicone pipes - pump tweak Upgraded helical cut transfer box, very light and smooth On board compressor with front and rear ARB lockers Snorkel with axle, transmission & diff breathers Uprated to 110 brakes, new discs and pads within last 1000 miles Full racing (orange) polybush's New exhaust front to back and de-cat Scorpion Evo/Extreme suspension kit, +4", remounted shocks, dislocation, caster correction, twin de-carbon props and upgraded steering arm. Full underbody protection, diffs, steering with front and rear bash plates. Southdown special rear protection with removable tow hitch and recovery mounts. Front Warn M9000i winch on new tubular winch bumper with spots (inc side lights) Rear Warn M8000 - through crossmember Both just serviced (and hardly used!) Jackable rock sliders Swing away wheel carrier 5 x Mach 5 rims with valve protection and wrapped in 285/75/16 BFG MT's Safety deviced roll cage Retrimmed black leather seats Momo steering wheel factory LE alluminium gear nobs & window winders Tinted glass all round CD/Radio Cat2 immobiliser Factory Sunroof Rear bench seats and belts Locking centre cubby box and removable kids seat High lift jack Brand new set of 4 snow chains (unusued) Recent MOT & TAX only done about 1000 miles this year 93000 on the clock Full history and receipts Very good condition with only one dent/ding on the passenger door which is easy to sort should you wish.. but for the spec its really too clean!

your truck looks too good to use in a challenge comp. i wouldn't want to take £12.5k to the limit it is capable of; without expecting lots of superficial damage.
are the parts worth more than the sum? maybe consider returning it to a standard 300 hardtop with side windows that might be worth £8k? and sell the parts. i like it but i haven't got £12k to spend

Its a lot of money for a 98 300tdi - sad fact is that any extras will help you sell and may add a small premium (assuming the buyer would fit them anyway). Although a LE such as a 50th will be worth more - modifactions will count against it, any LE is best kept near to standard.

I agree re the sum of the parts etc
But i am sure a lot of people end up spending more than this on lesser modes over a period of time. I really dont have the time or inclination to dismantle and return to standard, someone else is welcome to though
I am happy to discuss price and have reduced by £1k Or swap / PX for something else. Maybe the snow will convince someone... |
