Hypnos or Vi-spring Beds?
Anyone here got either a Hypnos or Vi-spring bed?

Im wanting to buy a really good quality bed as I suffer from a bad back. I cant get on with memory foam and ive wasted good money on the usual brands such as Silentnight etc as they soon lose their comfort/support.

Both Hypnos and Vi-spring are reputed to be very good beds, but rather expensive. Before I waste anymore money has anyone got any experience of these brands please?

Waterbed Thumbs Up

Heated, equalizes pressure on your back, never loses support (unless you puncture it!)

Also get a hot tub, the second pump on mine is 4hp and can be directed into 1 upward jet, balance my bad lower back on that for a fantastic massage......

Hadnt heard of Somnus, just had a look on their web site and seen their top model is Ambassador 18500. Cant find anywhere advertising a price for this bed, just states 'ring for price'. Guess that means big £££ Shocked Though I dont mind paying for the right bed.

Try Health Beds, they have a show room in Thurcroft.
A mate got a bed/mattress from there who suffers with his back, says they were very good.

I've had a water bed for well over 25 years now, difficult to sleep on anything else now.

It was a great 'talking point' when I was young free and single, (ask SWMBO) was great when SWMBO was pregnant (a couple of years later) and is great now, warm in the winter no cold feet and cool in summer when you tweak the temp down a bit.

highly recommended

I have had two Hypnos beds. I would throughly recommend visiting their own showroom. They have every bed on display. It makes such a difference going direct to the factory. They have been a great company to deal with and the quality is superb. They may even give a discount Wink

Hypnos Thumbs Up Had it for about 5 years. Cost a bucket, but it's been worth every penny... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Yes they will sell direct to the public but they dont advertise the fact. For me personally I could not find a retailer near me that was any good, so I went straight to the factory. When spending that amount of money it is important to take your time and have the opportunity to try out all of their range (depending on budget). The TT rider Guy Martin visited the factory in a recent BBC tv program which is quite interesting. Here it is on youtube

Hypnos are just 2 mins drive from me, they have just moved premises and have a showroom there. If you find yourself down this way feel free to drop in for a cup of tea. Plus have some good brewery's locally so could point you in the right directions.

Hypnos make the Queens bed and she is fragile, so they must be good Thumbs Up ===================================
