Wiring a DRL bumper??
Hi all,

I've gone all chavvy with my new 90XS and bought a Alive Tuning DRL Bumper. Now the instructions for wiring that I've been given are "It's a pretty simple three wire arrangement though, and one of those is an earth. Run a length of twin core cable up to the steering cowl, and wire in the permanent live and dip beam feeds off the light switch. The control box monitors battery voltage, and so will enable the DRL's as soon as the alternator starts to make charge. Again it will kill the lamps shortly after the engine is stopped, as the voltage drops down below 13.8v"

Now that sounds simple, but has anyone else done one of these and if so what advice could they give?

Happy for any advice given Smile

Thanks Rob - I have a look on Ring but can't find anything, I'll look at Halfords.

yer are simple to do mate i run the two wires from the automatic box one on negative battery terminal and the other on positive, if you want to wire them up to the sidelights all you would have to do is scotch lock it or cut and rejoin them both together i havnt bothered with the sidelight option so mine are on all the time whilst driving Thumbs Up

Thank you. So the box that comes with it will handle being directly wired to the battery?
