Reverse light staying on
Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my reverse light staying on all the time!
When I put it in reverse it then gets a bit brighter!
Also when the keys are in the ignition if I put the vehicle in reverse the dashboard lights come on?!!

Is there a reverse switch on the gearbox somewhere that might be sticking in the on position?

I have taken the bulb out at the moment because it even stays on with the keys out and vehicle locked.

Any pictures of the reverse switch position would help, or any other info on this problem.

That is defo a short circuit or earth problem.

I have a reverse camera linked to the reverse light power supply and I think last nights rain must of got in somewhere and caused a short.

When I tried it this morning it worked as it should, so it must have dried out over night.

So no more driving in the rain from now on then!

Out of interest I would still like to know where the the reverse light switch is fitted on the gearbox if anyone knows?
