Thank you for uploading these awesome pics. I'm fascinated by the landscape! The sunset and the night sky are especially beautiful. And I didn't know that there are so many plants, bushes, trees and flowers in the desert. The yellow ones remind me of flowers in uk which I saw lately in the woods. They are quite similar

yep we've a bit more than two pints worth of rain thats for sure... ! i think four times that fell last here night alone  the 'desert' looks superb though... not really a desert at all anymore after three years of la nina type conditions... theres been more annual rainfall out here over the last year than in most parts of ireland...  Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...

It does seem a long time ago G - we were out there at the same time at Brendan - well for 3 weeks anyway, we went home after competing in the Outback Challenge and the we didn't see Brendan for another 6 months!
It was 2008 - so yeah, nearly 4 years have passed - whooooooosssshhhhh, just like that!  |

Nah it is just over 3 years since I got back from that trip
Seeing those photos, hearing about Pam and Dave's plan is giving me itchy feet. Now will Barbara mind if I disappeared for another 8 months and left her holding the fort?
Somehow I think I might just get a teeny weeny objection
