seat decisions
right what do i go for i originally wanted the recaro cs and was happy to buy them at £820 each but theres a twist when you go to pay called vat Twisted Evil seriously though it says £820 so i click it then when you put it in the cart the lh one is £840 rh one is £1120 then postage at 20 something pounds then the vat plus the runners/stands at around about £100 each and then i need to buy tip up bases to adapt £65 each, all prices are plus vat plus delivery so its stupid so what shall i do

1) xs heated puma seats new £700
2) get my td5 seats retrimmed in what ever i would like i like the diamond ice trim as alive have in there black 90 £650
3) exmoor modular diamond xs trim
4) dont bother Laughing
opinions would be great obviously not number 4 though Wink

I agree with Bpman, get the Recaros you'll only regret it if you don't! When you off to the Nurburgring?? I was looking at going this year probably not in the 90 though!

Chris knows where to get his recaro's from, and he knows they'll be cheaper, and he'll get some forum discount too... Don't you Chris? Wink

chris,
i think the diamond ice trim looks really tacky for a nice motor like yours. Dont go down that route or i will be forced to call you a drug dealing pimp! Wink

I speak of experience. Nothing comes even close to the quality and comfort of a set of real SVX seats. After three years and 55k km, they remain as immaculate as day 1. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

there is another option:

Scheelmann Sportline N
Prices depend on the style

€ 815,- for black cloth TD4-style incl. VAT at Nakatanenga
€ 1037,- SE-Style cloth/leather combination at Nakatanenga
€ 1685,- full leather and heating at Matzker

With the Scheelmanns you don't need an additional longer console for large persons as you need with the Recaros, which are in fact very good seats too
