United Kingdom 2013 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 HT Alpine White
Just a final post on this one as I’ve done around 50 miles since oil change and all is well with 3rd gear and I’ve also fitted a Slick Shift and new (original) gear stick (still wincing at how much they are for the puma vs other gearboxes!!) and it feels sooo much better

The combination of slick shift and new gearstick is very nice to drive - as some others have said it’s more of a push into reverse but that’s not a bad thing for me as too many years driving auto cars saw me engage reverse by mistake a few times - can’t see that being an issue now!

I’d love to put new matting or acoustic mat in there as the original stuff is getting very tired but think I’ll wait for a lottery win as it seems to be a fair chunk of money!

Anyway, thanks again to all who replied - over and out on this one now 2013 ('62) Defender 90 HT, 2.2 Tdci
2002 Discovery 2, TD5
