Switzerland 1987 Defender 90 V8 Petrol SW Havana
LR 90 V8 3.5 Air filter braket position
Hello from Switzerland,

I have a V8 Ninety which has been converted to an Edelbrock carburettor, and it's running great.

My problem is that the car is due for its periodical inspection. For the test, I need to remove my K&N filter and temporarily re-install the original factory air filter box (the large barrel-shaped one).

I still have the two original support brackets for this filter box, but it has been many years since I removed them. I simply cannot remember exactly how and where they attach to the engine bay (engine, inner wing, or bulkhead).

Could anyone with an original 3.5 V8 please be kind enough to take a few pictures for me?

I specifically need to see where the two brackets that hold the main air filter barrel are fixed.

Any clear photos showing these attachment points would be a massive help and would save me a lot of time.

Thank you in advance!
