Hello
So anyone who saw my other thread just coming back from one of the last shows we attend in July, a Van decided to pull out from a side road right accros my path, Hobgoblin did what it could to miss but there was not enough time, road... impact probably less than 20mph... a sad day. That Morning.... ![]() Click image to enlarge On the way home.... ![]() Click image to enlarge So they have admitted fault but due to the 24 plate Transit van they have gone through insurance, I've had the car assesses and they are paying out (not a right off that I was happy about). Its bent the dumb iron and a bit further back so while it may not look bad, it may need a new front chassis.... I'm not sourcing bits as I will do what I can, especially the paining as I painted it, so cannot get the wing done professionally it will look too good ![]() ![]() |

Managed to source a second hand wing...
Much searching on e-bay, market place etc, as athough I can buy a new front and side it seems you cannot get the top part... Anyway found one fairly straight around 100 miles away... road trip with Lad to collect in the 110 ![]() ![]() Click image to enlarge Sanding down ready to etch prime, but it also had a few holes on the top no idea why it was a bracket underneath like an extra mudflap.. ![]() Click image to enlarge used this to fill it, ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge All seems good so far, waiting on some parts, new headlamp bowl etc as old one bent. |

Really nice to see this Series Land Rover taking shape again, the second picture in your initial post was heartbreaking!

Nice to see you've got a resolution and you've got back on the horse as they say.
Should be a nice project to see you through the darker months, in readiness for the Spring 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

You’ve done a cracking job. The painting looks really good for a roller.
Well done you 👍[/i] |

They're where a bracket would've been spot welded onto the underside of the wing top, for the inner splash guard to bolt to (MRC6081, MRC6082). |

That interesting about that part....i even have the complete part that i never fitted last time.
Didn't realise it attached by drilling the wing and had rivets in. I appreciate handy if off roading, i soukd rather not have the holes in the wing 👍 Thanks for letting me know what they were for though. |

The bracket should have been spot welded under the wing, yours must have been repaired by dividing through the wing by a previous owner
