Rear DM’s, you have the two options Ashcroft 2piece HD or the 1 piece.
Depends how much slop you currently have though, you can also check the Prop UJ’s on the rear whilst you are there. You could consider fitting mag diff fill and drain plugs if you don’t already have them.\ ![]() ____/🇬🇧🇺🇸\____ _//*⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰*\\_ |

Hi Cutom 90,
Rear DM's what are there, the Ashcroft website is a mindfield of jargan and diffs / ration's that mean little to me I just want less winey and back lash when I lift off.. ![]() Thanks |

The rear halfshafts and splined drive flanges on the hub if they are 2 part.
1 part is the halfshaft and drive flanges in one unit, each side of the diff. 2 piece is the halfshaft each side and the splines flange on the hub side. All have splines in the diff side, nearest the diff. The two piece has spines both ends of each half shaft, the 1 piece on the diff end only. If you go for 2 piece ashfroft HD like I have, then you’ll need 12.9 grade cap head bolts and spring washers, the size and length of which should be listed on here. I think 1 piece might be a better option now, and is cheaper and popular with likely a bit less slop. You can still fit a HD Ashcroft flange though. When you take the diff out, you’ll need to take out the DM’s anyway and the halfshafts first.. Drive Members is just a collective term for items as mentioned above. ____\We|Will|Win/___ ____/🇬🇧🇺🇸\____ _//*⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰*\\_ |

Diff differences
2 pin - open diff, weak 4 pin- open diff, strong ATB - automatic torque based locking - exceptional diff for road and kff road use Locker - manually locking rear diff, good if you do alot of heavy off roading or towing heavy trailers thru muddy fields Personally I would go for an ATB center. Much stronger than stock, automatically locks and unlocks when needed. Amplified if you have traction control. You wont really notice it driving normally, unless your really sending it or off road but it does make a big hidden difference to drivability If the 110s just a run around then just go for like for like. Jobs, change the rear shafts, flanges. Can use two piece of one piece. Use new bolts. Get new caliper bolts as well. Rear pads while your there. |
