Bog std 2.4 puma … collapsed new intercooler hoses
So….. replaced both LH and RH intercooler hoses after one split. no drama.

Until today when seemingly at motor speed cloud of white smoke and evidence of driver’s side hose collapsing on itself. Otherside is weak in similar position

Forscan showed P006A:00-68 MAP mass or volume air flow correlation bank 1

So is this due to the replacement hoses being non OEM rubbish OR can a fault MAF distort the hoses ?

TIA

Did you ensure there was no caps or anything in the pipes before fitting?

They do have temporary blanking caps for shipping and or fitting IIRC with some.
Obviously they need to be removed prior to and or during fitted.

They are often used for cleanliness during fitting too, to prevent any dirt getting in right until the point of actually putting the pipe on.
As with Defenders it’s easy to get some dirt go in pipes just fitting them, I sometimes use a disposable glove to put over the end of a removed pip unit refitted, obviously must be removed just before putting back on, but it stops anything getting in open ended pipes. ____\We|Will|Win/___

There can be some that work there way inside, any possibility anything was accidentally left when fitted?

Check the MAF wiring nr the plug and you can also clean it. ____\We|Will|Win/___

UPDATE :

Removed both LH and RH intercooler hoses - no obstructions
Checked dirty air feed to air filter box and hose to turbo - no obstructions
Air flow through intercooler via smoke test confirms no blockage

What else should I be checking ?
