We tried to follow the JKOverland route north of Badajoz this year and found many locked gates and impassable sections, in the end we gave up and followed some other routes.
The TET is always a good shout, and is usually pretty up to date. |

We used other routes but were only in Portugal for 3 or 4 days. The route might be okay in other areas. |
