200 TDI sounding rough
Hi lads, what would make a 200 TDI sound very rough when 1st started? it sounds like its running out of fuel? My dad also thinks its under powered too. we changed the lift pump that failed two months ago, my dad put the spacer on that came with the lift pump. I am right in thinking it shouldn't really have one on? They are a way with it at the moment, but my mam is worried about it. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

yeah and we got it running, replaced fuel gauge, sender unit, fuel pipe, fuel lift pump. Its driving now and back on the road, but it sounds very rough on tick over when 1st start up, as i mentioned. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Air in system? Any leaks from injectors, injector leak off pipes? (Or leaks from anywhere else fuel related?)
