Defender Door Water Shedder Queries
Hi All,

A quick question before I start spending money!

I am rebuilding a set of front defender doors for a early TD5 truck.
In the process I will be requiring new water shedders.

As I understand it there are two types:
- Plastic sheet type (as removed) (ALR9781)
- Foam type (as used on later examples) (EJD500620)

I am thinking that while I am here I could fit the foam type, hopefully for benefits of noise adsorption.

Does anyone know
1) Does the foam type fit like for like?
2) Is there any improvement in cabin acoustics?

Yes the foam fits without any issues, I did mine last year as the plastic cover had more black tape than plastic.. Whistle

I had previously Silent Coated the doors which does give a nicer sounding ‘thud’ when closing the door.

My TD5 is loud once up to speed so acoustics are out of the window, ear plugs would work better Laughing

Very good thank you.
And yes right you are, ear plugs are often best!
