Chile 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Stornoway Grey
110 SW 2nd row seats loose
Hi there!

A lot of time has passed without being here. The Defender has been quiet, with just some minor issues, normal for a 2007 car with almost 400.000 km.

But during the last MOT I failed due to an abnormal 2nd row seat fixation. My second-row latches are okay, but the 60 seat seem to be loose. I can move it (all the seat) back and forward around 3/4 inches, and the backrest of both (69 and 40 pieces) around 1/2 inch.

Is it possible to adjust the latch mechanisms to avoid it?

Cheers! Eduardo

I just checked this in my 110 and the way I see it is that there must be something loose in the front end of the seat, by the hinge mechanism. That's the only thing that would allow it to move backwards/forwards.
I too can move/rotate the seat a little bit if I pull in the back rest. I guess this can be amplified if something is loose in the front.
