Stick a Mercury Racing crate engine in there. At 9L I should think probably 4mpg I expect.
I still like diesel a lot, the other contraptions attached for the emissions are not fit for purpose and never were imo, regardless diesel was generally meant for commercial activity which suits that Defender sector.
All choices and preferences of course. ____\We|Will|Win/___

And that’s my dichotomy, do a proper LS3 or LSA conversion or keep my 2013 2.2 110 XS CSW as is and buy a used petrol Grenadier as well. I expect the cost would be similar.
Why you Ask ? I just love the raw of a well tuned petrol straight six ,or even better a V8.

Pretty much the same reasoning behind my decision to buy one too. Steve.
Ineos Grenadier Trialmaster but owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.. Now long gone.
[Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc]
