I like this idea! First off, how did all y'all get that seal to stick? Mines seems to want to fall off every now and then. Second, what material did you use to complete that arch from the channel to the seal? How are they stuck on? This seems like a nice DIY for me as I bought 2 of the seals, one for each side but as I said, they don't seem to like staying put. Then I'd like to avoid any potential leaks and do the arch mod. By the way, I also had leak problems eventully in my 2011 110. During my recent rebuild, I changed out all the seal and updated to the newer kind of lower door seals (all original Land Rover as recommended by many) and I also applied the sealing sticky tapes on the seams (also original Land Rover) and that seems to have done the trick. ![]() |

My "solution" is just domestic draught excluder similar to the ebay link below... Can't find a link to the black version at the moment....
I just cleaned the surface on the underside of the bulkhead gutter and the lip of the wing and the draught excluder stuck on ok.... Been on for a couple of years now and could do with replacing.... I have 5 metres of the stuff so not really a problem! I have tested this, and although it's not perfect by any means, it does divert most of the water away from falling onto the top of footwell... https://ebay.us/m/hcaRWE |
