Stolen from Maghull Liverpool
these two defenders were stolen on Saturday evening at around 8:50pm they broke in and took the keys along with jewellery and watches

the white one is a 2015 with only 11700 miles on the clock and in A1 condition and is quite distinctive with the Range Rover Sport Wheels, blacked out windows it also has a recovery strobe on the roof and high level strobes not he rear as well

the blue one is a 2007 and is on a privet plate has Massi grey interior and a dog guard as well and the cab has been fitted with black carpet and bison defender trim on the seat box and door runners

if anyone is offered parts or even the cars would appreciate

Any news on these two? Only 5 minutes from me.
We’re they recovered?
I used to drive past the blue one quite regularly. Always commented how nice it was.
Really gutted for the owner(s).

I guess the original post(er) was only using the forum to raise awareness.

Noticed that the ‘blue’ one never returned and has been replaced by a Discover Sport.

All a bit too close to home - literally.

It was me who pointed him to here. I leave my truck about 200 yds from the site of the theft when visiting mum n dad. Too close to home for me too. I was alerted to the theft by a friend in Merseyside police who noticed how close it was to my parents. The location means good access to M58 and M57 and therefore an easy an fast getaway to M6 M62 and beyond. I haven’t seen any defenders back at his address but a newer vehicle (vw) with the private plate off the blue defender has appeared. There is a gang working the local area. I know of a number stolen by them. They use the Merseyside Lancs border as a way of complicating things. They were using a blue fiesta st at one point but this was a while ago so probably moved onto a new pool car now

Thanks for signposting the owners to this forum and for providing that additional information.
I noticed the VW before the Defender had gone but didn’t pick up on the private plate.

As you say - too close for comfort.

We have quite a number of Defenders within a 1/2 mile radius - some of which are in clear view from main roads - so I’ll be being extra extra cautious.

well update on an old post

I appreciated the support we got from both this and other Landrover Forums as well as people on FB keeping an eye out for our cars. It was a real nightmares but eventually got it all sorted out through the insurance managed to brake even on what we got back from the insurance companies for the 2 cars which was good

after about 8 months I got a letter from GMP to say they had found the white one on an industrial estate in Wigan and if I didn't come to collect it I would incur storage charges !!!!

fantastic I thought, so I asked what condition it was in as I though the we could buy it back from the insurance company at which point the girl at the storage yard chuckled and said "all that was there was the chassis and an old set of wheels" I gave them the insurance company details and said it was there problem now and left it at that.

We did got a disco sport for a while to replace the defenders mainly to cart the dog around and now have a new shape defender which I love but do miss the old defenders they were so much fun to drive

Crying or Very sad

at least you got sorted with the insurance. Thumbs Up

complete scum - everywhere you turn.
I was taken out for a meal for my birthday - a treat from my girls.
a very rare thing but the wife drive in a new car I'd bought her 8 days earlier.
got back 2hrs later and the front end was missing (stolen) !

a birthday meal to remember. ended up not going through the insurance but in hindsight I think that was a mistake ! Crying or Very sad

Interesting
There was a group of lads in a blue fiesta st. Stealing defenders at that time (caught on a number of cctv) the kept triggering the speed cameras in Parbold and Wrightington (between maghull and Wigan). They stole a number from Southport and surrounding areas. They were pursued and caught by Merseyside police one night and I was called by an officer friend to direct him to chassis nos and other means of identifying the defender that was also pursued. The Wigan connection seems strong.

Mad Its been some very local that has had those two a way, When mine was stolen and found, all the insurance got was a BBQ, The Censored had ragged it destroyed it, and some one had the axles away. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
