I have a feeling that the transponder coil is either not picking up the code from the fobs or the coil is not connected to the 10AS. So I would check the transponder coil connection to the 10AS and the working of that coil.

PS. The fobs use a separate antenna on the 10AS to activate/ deactivate the alarm and unlock / lock the central door locking. So if that’s working it shows the fobs are synchronised.

Hi IanH,
Many thanks for your help on this journey of discovery. I think I finally got the alarm working. It looks like it was just a setting which I have to disable on my gap system. It quotes it as being “warning lights”when this was enabled. It wouldn’t allow the immobiliser to disengage disabling it seems to keep the immobiliser working as it should And let me start the engine as normal. Alarm all seems fine. Not sure what the “warning light” setting is on the gap system as there’s no explanation but everything seems to be as it should now again many thanks for your time.
