My main reason was for the build quality, I think it’s far superior to the LR offering, as the nylon ball is deleted, the original stick, when it has a bit of wear just goes all over the place wagging around.
Despite the quick shift change I tend to do so just normally as I don’t think it’s ideal to rush gear changes as such.
There is a lot less rattle I’ve found since changing, it seemed to generally rise from the box, up to the weights and amplify the rattle before.
But saying that the nylon ball was cracked on mine on the original, but does seem to be a common issue.
I used a lot of lithium grease in there, nice and slick when warm, but when the grease gets low is when the wear can take place, the originals I don’t think are that well greased, and the grease that was used was quite thick.
I tend to use Castrol High Temp lithium as I gets nice and slick then warm, and can handle the heat.
As with all things we all have different preferences.
My old gearstick assembly was ten years old plus so couldn’t complain at all really with that. ____\We|Will|Win/___
