Puncture is it now my chance to change all 5 tyres out?!
Well I’ve had a puncture today and it’s a sliver of metal so not repairable but I cannot find a replacement Michelin Primacy 255/60/20 anywhere nearby! It is next Tuesday before I can get one fitted!

Tried everywhere including the dealers who would price match for me. Is this normal for no stock of the defender standard tyres? I’ve had Pirelli on all my previous Land Rovers and never had a problem sourcing a tyre same day when I’ve needed.

Is it worth me swapping out all 5 tyres for something that’s more readily available or is it these tyres are always getting punctures so any stock goes out as quick as it comes in!? Big Cry MY25.5 Defender 90 D350 X Dynamic HSE - Maximus

How old/miles/tread?

Also depends on how much you want to spend. In a pinch you could only change the one set (2 tires) and then later the second set.

I think refusing tire repairs is a bit of a scam since the same people refusing to repair are also hoping to sell you new. Then there is the safety argument which is so loaded it's never objective (if in doubt etc).

It’s a MY25.5 so only 4,000 miles on the tyre. To be honest when it came with Michelin was disappointed not Pirelli so any excuse to change them! Lol!

It’s a sliver of metal so I wouldn’t trust a repair on it. It’s been so hard to find a replacement nationally that I wanted to change to something more available. It’s probably cheaper to buy a new set of alloys with the tyres on! MY25.5 Defender 90 D350 X Dynamic HSE - Maximus

Just buy a new tyre. The difference in tread will be minimal and not affecting security.
I had to change mine after 9k miles due to a nail on the sidewall not repairable.
Difference between the new and the old tread was 0.5mm. Save yourself a fortune…

I have put my spare on but it’s the problem of no available Michelin tyre to replace same day, whereas the Pirelli’s I had on the discovery were always in stock 🤷‍♀️ MY25.5 Defender 90 D350 X Dynamic HSE - Maximus

I’ve never been able to get a tyre same day, they’ve always had to be ordered in.

I must have been lucky then as they’ve always been in stock when I’ve had Pirelli’s on. Even when the breakdown truck had to drop me off the back of a transporter as I’d got 2 flats at the same time! Lucky for tyres in stock but unlucky for punctures! 🤣🤣 MY25.5 Defender 90 D350 X Dynamic HSE - Maximus
