Don’t know if this is of any interest to you but it’s very low miles and the garage selling it has a good reputation.

It looks lovely, the 2.4's do seem cheaper and that's the £750 road tax one. After l claim the tax back on that Utility it comes out at £28,000

l would still consider it though, l could spend the rest of my life waiting for the "perfect" Defender and going over the figures again and again, or l could just buy one and start driving it.

I don't believe any of the usw were higher tax bracket.

Sorry didn't look at link its not a usw it's a sw so 09 sw will be m1. Cheers

This suggests you are running it as a company truck? The rules changed in April this year and I believe (but could be wrong) that it will now attract company car tax instead of Van benefit if purchased after the switch over date.

Yes l would have hoped to put it through my business. The discussion about whether the Utility was ever a "van" with HMRC has gone to about five pages on another forum.

Some have put them through anyway, and the dealer selling that green Utility at £35,000 insists that you still can.

But some are listed as "Double Cab" on the V5 and that's no longer an option with HMRC

l could just charge the business for use of it like l did with my old TD5 SW. ln that case l may as well get a SW rather than a Utility as there's no benefit.

For a SW what about this one, it's on sale at a dealer close to me which is a benefit if l need any warranty work !
The dealer has a good reputation locally.
The Landy has done 88,000 miles which is a bit high. I'll have a look at it this weekend.

I don't understand why you think 86,000 miles is high for a 12-year-old vehicle.

If it's a late 2.4 USW, I am sadly thinking of selling mine, I'm just not using it.
See https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic8679.html?
Owned by me from new
garaged all it's life, not been used on salted roads, no corrosion at all (I am an ACF fanboy Smile )
full leather (LRI)
63000 miles IIRC (not driven for a while!)
now on SVX wheels
I'll be getting a valet soon, and a service, then putting an advert up here first (would rather the Defender went to someone who would cherish it like I have)
Not many 2.4's like this left now (one of the very last 2.4's ever built)
I am thinking of £28k (serviced and MOT'd) which appears to be a very competitive price
To understand more about how this vehicle has been cared for:
https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic8707.html
There's been a few other adds/upgrades since I last updated my thread, such as the Optimill steering lock and Startech leather steering wheel, Nakatenanga spare wheel carrier, Naka Cruise Control, rock and tree sliders from 4x4Overlander, and a host of spares including a VCV valve and some useful tools... I also have all original parts... Suspension fully sorted too: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic16066.html and https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic49065...oilsprings

l am interested in that, please PM me before you place the advertisement and l won't waste any of your time, l'll tell you straight away if l am in a position to buy.

lt depends on what my 2022 Defender is currently worth, if it's dropped too much l can't sell it.
