Oh! have I run through this scenario in my head over and over!
My current list is around 6.5k*. In no particular order as they are all critical, surely: *prices are slightly arbitrary but I have to assume feature creep somewhere along the line Swing away wheel carrier (250) Underbody protection (200) BFG AT (650) Patriot/Hannibal roof rack including ladders... (1300) Hannibal awning (300?) Waxoyl (450) Snorkel (150) Hand winch and accessories (350) X-brake (220) A-bar (200) Lights (200) Re-map (500) Tracmats (100) Farm Jack (100) Compressor (50) Light guards (100) Window guards (200) Twin batteries + spilt charge... (300) Fridge (400) Eberspacher heater (500?) Someone is bound to come along and point out that I haven't budgeted for X,Y and Z or that I'm mad if I think I can get such and such for so and so. I've not even factored in the uprated suspension I'd require to carry all that lot or the increased fuel consumption as a result of carrying 3/4 ton of kit around. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

The other 3.5k would go on flowers and chocolates for my wife by way of apology for wasting so much money on the Land Rover One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

My top tip is to stop using the word 'want'. Instead when dealing with your good ladies try the word 'need'.

if you want extras, then buy your other half something first, having said that, to get what i wanted, i bought a house, gave her half, then came the diamond ring, some more diamonds after that, then i got my defender.... Cheers

With this thread being from 4 years ago now bpman, I wounded how much the £10,000 would be worth now?

Given the interest rates about £12,000
It's quite interesting looking at the old threads, not much has changed.... |
