That looks great value and certainly keenly priced, on Autotrader the cheapest similar mileage and spec d300 is £50k - if it looks too good to be true - invariably it is too good to be true.
A trader would have bought this by now and made a very tidy profit. |

You'd think so wouldn't you. I suspect it's a scam, probably one of those put a deposit down before viewing it as there's been so.kuch interest. And then that's your deposit gone.

Plus in the listing it says it came with a 3 year extended warranty which Landrover don’t give on used cars, 2 years yes on special incentives but 3 no.

Well, the listing ended with the item "no longer available"
The satnav is on in one of the photos and reveals where the Defender was parked. lt does tie up with the area where he says he lives. It was either a scam, or an absolute bargain for someone. He never replied to my message asking what the registration number was. |

It's an information phishing scam.
To make an enquiry with the seller you have to give your full name, e mail address and phone number. These details are then sold on to whatever dodgy organisations feel that they need them. Because you have replied to an advert for a £35k vehicle you are deemed to be financially comfortable and therefore a target for a call centre.. Jim Last edited by jim4244 on 11th Jul 2025 1:36pm. Ah that makes sense. l have indeed received a few spam phone calls since responding to the advert.
Although as l am a Limited Company, that information is available to anyone who searches for my trade and finds my website. |
