trip to Greece in my New Defender, and with a final prize!!
yes, final prize, after almost 5000 km and 4 ferry crossings, Barcelona-Civitavechia and Brindisi-Igoumenitsa and back…I'm coming home with a prize, to the fool of the month I would say, on the ferry Spain/Italy the cretins of Grimaldi lines, have decided that my Defender needed a good shower of some strange liquid, I imagine hydraulic oil or something similar, that has ruined the paint on my front bonnet, it has stripped it in different spots and the paint is corrupted and comes off, the white primer appears, it will need to be painted again, as a bonus the same mysterious liquid has also burned one of the front windscreen wiper sprayers, mysteriously rendering the system useless… and here comes the fool of the week, the unpresentable managers of the CRUISE ROMA ship of GRIMALDI LINES have laughed in my face, despite having subscribed a damage insurance attached to the ticket, Accusing me of trying to defraud the shipping company because, according to them, that was already happening before I even boarded the ship... absolutely helpless in front of 5 morons in charge of reception and passenger service, there was no human way to get an interview with an official crew member and of course, the captain to give us a mandatory report so we could make an insurance claim... any ideas other than burning a ship?…Or I'll just screw myself and that's it all!! any experiences about?? Thanks guys!!

We took the ferry from Portsmouth to Santander, after the crossing l noticed a strange dent on my Defender that looked like it had been done with a centre punch.
On the way back, we were parked next to the bulkhead/side of the ship, and my vehicle was clearly used as a step for screw members to get up to the next deck, judging by the footprints/dent on the roof.
They just don't care, they'll weasel out of any claim, told me the damage must have already been there....and then who are you going to complain to anyway?
l just had to get the damage repaired which cost over £1,000 in total.
