My experience was this..
I had experienced turning the ignition key to crank to be met by silence..recycle the ignition and works normally.. as if the immobiliser function glitches.. not often but it did happen now and again.. I had the inlet side off doing glow plugs and ran some compression tests..that glitch happened a little more frequently while sranking during those tests, and prompted me to replace the starter motor while I had good access... (cause it looked a right pain to get at ), just in case the fault was solenoid related.. A hella unit was fitted and I was surprised how much faster the engine spun whilst cranking..I thought for a second I'd left the plugs out. 🤣.. So my experience was the old starter motor must have been tired for want of a more technical expression.. Only 10 years old but I subsequently found out was worth replacing even though I thought it worked fine.. |

They do seem to slow down, but when it comes to packing up I think they just go when they do suddenly.
But on the bright side they do have a long lifespan. _\Hennessey|Venom| F5/___ ___\⭐️Lone|Star|State/___ ____\We|Will|Win/___ ____/🇬🇧🇺🇸\____ _//*⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰*\\_ |
