Overheating? Nancom thinks so.
While not having used the Nanocom for the while I decided on the run home from Anglesey along the A55 I decided to plug it for a view of some live data

The temperature alarm went off (might have been 93.6c?/95.6c?) But anyways, on the way home the temp sat at 93c plus and peaked at around 98c a couple of times.

To draw some heat out, I put the heaters on full - it got rather warm

I stopped in a a lay-by to check under the bonnet and noticed the top hoses are hot but the bottom hose out the thermostat was cold. Thermostat I think opens at 78c or 82c

I would have expected the bottom hose to have some heat? 1999 Defender TD5 110

The Nanocom alarm is set too low, and gets people worrying. What you have experienced temperature wise is normal and nothing to be concerned about. Seeing temps up to 100c is ok and normal. That is how the system wants. A diesel wants to be at about 90c, and pushed will raise to 110c which for short periods is ok.

The fact the bottom hose was cold is showing your system is working perfectly Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
