glow plug replacement
Has anyone here replaced their glowplugs yet? I have 2020 110, (L663) D240 HSE with 66K miles on the clock. it has been dealer serviced from new but cant see if they have ever done the glow plugs or if they are sehduled to do that. interested in how complex it might be to change myself or should I leave it to LR dealer? any advice welcome. ThinkCar diagnostics showing cylider 1 Glow plug open circuit and yellow warning on dash.

You're probably the first to change the glow plugs.

You could try a post on the Evoke forum as it's the same engine l think.

Much appreciate the reply @Lightning. I spoke to my local dealer yesterday. There is no planed service schedule to replace the glow plugs with LR. I asked for a quote from them to do the job.
“ Hi,
Nice to speak to you.
I've spoken to the workshop and parts team.
The glow pugs are £39.41 each. My workshop has advised that they would actually recommend replacing all 4 as the time it takes to replace 1 is so high.
To replace 1, we would quote £389.29 and a set of 4 would be £639.17.
If i can help further, please let me know.”

Does this sound reasonable? I will take a look at the Evoke forum.

I also seen yesterday that this engine was only produced for the 2020-2022 vehicles and its been replaced.

It’s disappointing that after 66K miles the Glow plugs require replacing. I have had so many diesels over the years BMWs, Landrover’s and never had to replace glow plugs before.

lt's probably about right for a main dealer to do it....ours charges £200 per hour plus VAT

Take it to an independent Land Rover specialist, the one near me charges £65 per hour including VAT.
