Honda genny
I have a little honda genny.. it's been running poorly for a bit now so I spent some time cleaning up the fuel system and checking the valve clearances etc..
When i went to try it there was no spark and after looking for a fault for about two hours i relented and went on the tube..
First video of a bloke checking a no start he mentions an oil sensor check... 🫣... and I'd drained the oil😫
So i got there in the end..👍🤣

As these petrol things are a bit of a mystery, I thought id stick the scope on the secondary ignition side and view the spark plug trace..
Not sure what it means till I've done a bit reading🤔

Further play with a couple more probes..
A current clamp on the primary ignition (green trace ), and a capacitive pick up probe on the plug lead (red trace)
The blue is a calibrated capacative pick scaled in kv..
As far as I can make out from the bit reading I've done they are pretty well text book and good examples..
Remembering its a magneto ignition system..no battery supply..

Might as well post a couple pictures using a fairly new toy, a little borescope👍😁
A couple pictures.. the internal bore and piston top..and the two valves in the head..
