Cheers all for the comments.
Managed a few weekends away in it now, cracking setup - so many advantages to the roof tent over a ground tent and the height it's mounted on the trailer makes for a really nice working height for folding/unfolding. Made some brackets to fit gas struts to the lid to hold it up while packing/unpacking which work well (I won't mention how severely wrong I got my force calculations first time around   ), still a few improvements on the list - simple leisure battery setup charged via an Anderson connector on the car when driving, some check-chains on carabiners for the tailgate to make a table for cooking/meal prep, got a few tie down points/brackets to think about for water containers/jerry cans too.
But on the whole, very pleased and ready to give it a bit more of a test this summer.
