Just route the internal front runner to the outside? Cheers

Hi James
Unfortunately we have something directly above it (and did not future proof for this!) but have looked at ways of making to work it somehow I think we’re going to look at getting one fabricated and move the fill point to the outside edge. |

Ive seen fillers fitted into the rear quarter light window using a mud stuff window blank which worked well ... it goes into back of the vehicle and down any route you like to the tank.
We have an external safari equip tank fitted on the left side of the 110 with a filler next to the rear passenger door which works very well - I know its not what you are looking for but its a option that is out there ... ![]() Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 ![]() |

Thanks ☺️
We did look at the sill one, but I think we’re going to add another side locker in that space so the rear tank works better for us. We’ve positioned a water carrier above the filler for the front runner one so I am not sure have the space to route a pipe to the exterior in that location. So we’re either going to buy and mod the front runner one, or get one fabricated moving the fill point to the outboard edge 👍 |

I think we are at cross purposes here .. the water tank I have fitted its under the vehicle on the chassis and does not interfere with the space where a locker would be ... https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530-135.html Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html

I’ve seen someone fill a wing tank like yours from the outlet. If you have water from a tap under pressure then you can rig it up to fill from the outlet. When it’s full I assume the water will come out of the breather. Just a thought.

I’ve just had a look at your post - I (probably wrongly) assumed the underslung sill tank would clash with the space for a side locker on the LHS (we have a locker on the RHS) We have a 3 door, whereas I can see you have a 5 door so they could be designed differently (or I need to check positions) Thanks for the info! |

Someone else sent us this option, but we can’t have the breather internal (as we have our units on top of the position) so not an option for us, but thank you for the info 👍 |

the breathers are outside and there is lots of room on a 110 for a side locker at the back behind the rear wheel .. talk to safari equip to see the options that they have for the whole range of landrovers
Our 110 is a full fitted 110 with fixed units all through the back and a gas bottle behind the rear wheel if you want to fit a locker infront of the rear wheel then that will be a different option. ![]() Click image to enlarge take a look at the safari equip site for option on water tanks ... lots of info for you to look though https://www.safari-equip.co.uk/shop/land-r...er-tank-1/ Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 ![]() |

What a great set up!
We currently have a side locker on the RHS ![]() Click image to enlarge So our plan is to fit the same on the LHS Our inside is set up with units and 11L water carrier, so we’ve blocked off any internal fill point. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge |

ok, if you want to go for a locker on the side and not in the back wing, you could look at the safari equip 40ltr wing mount water tank and have a filler on the side just above the tank...
However, The most common place for a locker is in the rear left side wing panel as it’s a big dead space and leaves you room to mount a bigger water tank under the side of the vehicle. just my thoughts ... ![]() Like your set up as well ![]() Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 ![]() |
