2004 Defender 110 Td5 XS CSW Epsom Green

Front door check strap

Hey all, got an issue with my driver side door check strap that I'm trying to fix.

The posts I've read here point to it have 3 bolts, but mine only has two. Same on the passenger side. This is on a 2005 Td5 110. Is this something common for post-2002 Td5 models?

Anyways, the problem is obvious -- the captive nut for the right side bolt hole has gone missing. What's a possible fix for this? Use a rivnut?

Yes I’d use a Rivnut.

Rivnut should work a treat....hit that rust with a bit of Kurust while youre there
