Doing the dishes etc..
29 Years ago our second daughter was born. She had a rough start in life. She had a protracted stay in hospital. We live 40 miles from the hospital so we moved up beside the hospital until we could get her home. I had to put a tube down her throat to feed her so we spent a lot of time in the hospital. When we finally got home with our daughter we had visits from the district nurse. She told us to forget about things like doing the dishes and the hoovering and to concentrate on our daughter. Last week, (29 years later ), I told the Mrs that it was about time we started doing the dishes and the hoovering again..... 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

On a serious note: my youngest daughter also had a rough start. Fortunately, it lasted but a few weeks and she's living an ordinary and careless life nowadays, as any 9yo should.

At the time it was cause for great concern and stress, but now I consider it somewhat of a blessing as sometimes - when I'm unhappy for some silly reason - it's good to be able to reflect on the past and to appreciate how well things are actually going now when I consider the important things in life... Defender 130 HCPU Td5 MY2000

Yes it is a sobering experience. When you think you are having a bad day, a quick think back makes you realise that there have been worse days! We bought an electric tooth brush to use on our daughter's arms and legs, to make her realise she had arms and legs. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Let's just say it puts things into perspective, which can be helpful at times... Defender 130 HCPU Td5 MY2000
