Charging stays in initialising
Hi all, last night, my Defender didn't charge on timed charging. This morning, after dropping my youngest to school, I plugged it in for immediate charging, and it won't charge, just stays on 'Initialising'. I noticed there was a software update over the weekend and this is the first time I've tried charging since then, which may just be a coincidence. I've got LR Assist coming out this morning, but I wondered if anyone else has had this issue recently.

I'm not sure - checked on Pivi and it says the last software update was Dec 24 but it definitely updated something this weekend - any idea how I can check that?

In any case, whenever living pro is updated there’s the following passage in the release notes:

PHEV only: Please note that for a short period of time, you may experience some disruption in the EV capabilities after the update has completed. Please disconnect the vehicle charger and ensure the battery has a minimum charge level of 25% before starting the update.

So maybe give it some time…

Good point on the boilerplate text that normally comes with an update. LR assist guy was brilliant and worked out it was the wall charger needed resetting, not the car at all. The clue was when plugging it in, it didn't lock in so wasn't receiving any power. While he was here, though, he picked up a fault with the driver's airbag....good job it's going into the dealership soon...something else for the list!
