Parts availability for insurance claim?
Hi, I'm trying to source a couple of replacement parts to improve the chances that my Defender gets the right bits to replace damaged ones. Hopefully one of you helpful souls will be able to point me in the right direction.

Unfortunately an elderly gentleman drove into the side of my 2014 XS on Saturday. Low speed (I was doing about 20 and he was pulling out of a side turning without looking) and no bodywork damage to my Defender (though I'd be surprised if his car is economic to repair). He hit the side-step on my passenger side and the rear wheel and damaged both so it would be an easy repair with bolt-on replacements. My question is whether these parts are both available from Land Rover as I'd rather keep the vehicle original (I've owned it from new and it is very low mileage).

I've had a look at this https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com and am confused by which step I need (it is the standard XS tubular step with silver chequer plate in a rubber frame) and can't find the 2014 wheels there (standard sillver alloys- were these called 'boost'?)

TIA Cheers, Guy.

Is your 2.2 a 110 or 90 , as side steps will be different lengths. Is the side step ( side runner as LR call it ) black with silver chequer plate on top ?

The easiest solution is to call or visit a LR dealer with your registration and vin in hand, they will have access to your vehicle records and be able to identify the exact parts you need.

Thanks, it is a 90. And yes, black step/runner with silver chequer plate top (the market has a myriad of copies of unknown quality). Cheers, Guy.
