It really depends on the country you live in. You would have to ask JLR Sweden.
The 130 V8 has always been a P500. The 6 cylinder P400 is still available, but not in all countries. |

P425, somebody at my dealer told me that P425 is a naturally aspirated engine. Is that true?

I have found that the markets with the new engine choices (D350, P425) are hit with new Euro emissions. Australia has remained largely unchanged in terms of the engine department, although obviously there have been all the strange year-to-year changes jumbling the engine choice. Seriously Landrover, why can you, in the UK, only get the 90 S with a D350, but the 90 X comes only with a D250!

You already gave the answer in your post.
LR has to adhere to new EU and UK emission regulations. |

The P425 is exactly the same supercharged engine as the P500 and P525. The only difference is the ecu map. The P425 and P500 can be easily remapped to the 525hp engine map. |

Are there details on how to do this? |

![]() Click image to enlarge It can be done by anyone competent with genuine JLR pathfinder software, they take the mapping data from a P525 and transfer it /flash it to the vehicle to be remapped. See screen shot below if the gap tool CCF file confirming the P400 has been remapped to 525hp. I don’t believe it’s possible to change the engine power using the GAP diagnostics tool. |
