Driver window intermittently not moving
Hello

I have a fancy 2016 model with electric windows….which since I started using this forum, sometimes fail to lower the window when I press the button. Can’t hear any noises or clicking. Then all of a sudden it works. Only happens to the drivers side
Any thoughts?

99% of the time it will be a broken wire in the rubber conduit between Apost and door.

Often as you move the door the window will start/stop working.

Find the two thick wires in the boot and give them a tug, and I think you will find one that is two bits Thumbs Up

99% certain you’re right.
Tried closing and opening the door a few times and every time the things started or stopped working. Thank you so much. Looks like the bottom of the door card is loose and the conduit wasn’t in it’s hole but trapped tight underneath it so that probably didn’t help!

Even when the wire is in the correct position it still breaks rather than joining it I suggest you add a length of similar gauge but more flexible wire and use that length as the part through the conduit.

It's a regular failure as are door lock actuator wires. Rear being more prevelant to failure on vehicles i have seen. Cheers

Thank you.
It’s usually just me in the car so I guess the driver door is probably the most likely to fail first, as it did!
The part of the harness that usually breaks- is that a part of the main body loom or door loom?

On a similar subject, now that you’ve mentioned it….

When I unlock the car, sometimes the boot unlocks, sometimes it doesn’t and I need to use the key….is it another broken wire?! The geniuses at LR main dealer ‘fixed’ it two when it was still under warranty and replaced the lock, but obviously that didn’t work!
