It’s a lot of money compared to fitting a refillable cylinder, but I assume you want it mounted under the vehicle.
I would suggest talking to these people who have very helpful, and know their stuff https://autogasshop.co.uk/product-category...gas-tanks/ They do a small 16 ltr under tank. |

Another option, (assuming its only to take advantage of LPG being cheaper than bottled gas, and not because you want to free up space from carrying gas cylinders) is these refillable gas cylinders
https://www.gaslowdirect.com/product-categ...cylinders/ Refilled from the LPG pumps at fuel stations. Fairly high (compared to regular gas bottles) initial outlay, but easily transferable should you swap vehicles/motor home/caravans. I believe you'd also maintain a regular gas connection should the worst happen and you run out in an area with no LPG available so you could throw on a regular gas bottle. 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

I have fitted a few gas systems into camper / motorhomes ...
pretty well all types from refillable, exchange , and underslung tanks... nothing particularly difficult about it , and as long as you do the necessary leak testing on commissioning you should be fine... with the refillable or underslung the issue will be where to mount the fill point and make sure its secure as the log pump nozzles are a fair lump of metal , and wear gloves when filling...cold burns are easily picked up when disconnecting ![]() few pictures , that might give you an idea or two.... the exchange cylinders in the steel gas locker , I don't believe are available any more..I think 6kg is the smallest exchange calor do now.. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge |

I’m sure you know, but. Don’t be cheeky and get a deal on a gas tank from a gas powered car. You want a vapour tank, not a fluid one.

Wow I'm so chuffed with the responses... cheers all
I should probably say, I want it as external space is a bit lacking for a normal cylinder to be mounted and don't want on roof because of the all cab pop top. The two Andy's - are these system compatible with uk and European systems?? ![]() Click image to enlarge @steve_overland on Insta. 110 expedition vehicle with pop roof |

Any refillable system is suitable with European systems with a pack adapters that you buy.
This sort of thing. https://autogasshop.co.uk/product/lpg-fill...pg-filler/ |
