Planned route
Ive made up a route. Hopefully the flags will be down on the day or we can modify to suit. Currently the plain is very dry so not too many challenges. The good news is that the river crossings are also more manageable. Route is around 40-50 miles. No scratchy stuff and go arounds for those that want them on most difficult sections. We won’t know until the day if the Ridgeway is open or how passable it is, again happy for people’s views on whether to skip the northern section. It can be quite rutted.

does anyone want to plan a route around a few of the open byways on the plain from barbury castle?

4 mile clump is always a nice drive. ... bit rutted at the top though.

It’s probably best to avoid anything too heavily rutted, just in case of the risk of damage.
But other than that should be fine.

Conditions should be pretty good.
Very Happy
Start time around 9AM.

UPDATE
Sorry to be a bit of a pain, but a little bit of an issue for me last minute on the 4th. Rolling Eyes
(Always the way).

Would anyone be inconvenienced if we rescheduled to Sunday 11th May 9AM?

That’s not this coming Sunday, but the next, just after the May bank holiday.

Toucanspeed & Moo? Is that okay with you?

I think just after the bank holidays might be a bit better, and everyone might be free from family responsibilities (inc myself) etc and holidays. WeWillWin🇬🇧🇺🇸

Ah, the great spanner of life. No worries, these things happen.

Frustratingly though, I will be in Portugal on the 11th. Big Cry

I’m in for the next event if you do one again. Just keep me posted. Thumbs Up Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Unfortunately the 11th doesn’t work for me (or the Army). I’m away and they are using the plain. The route I’d planned (Bulford Range area and arguably the most interesting area) wouldn’t be possible

No worries, we’ll call this one off this time.

Next time around we’ll sort out a date that suits as many people as possible.

Toucanspeed - Completely understand, these things are unexpected and not flexible that’s for sure.
Please do keep your planned route, and I much appreciate that, we will go for a re-run soon if you’d like to do that, when we are all available.

Moo - Will do, keep your eyes peeled.

We will do that for sure, so if we say May onwards, what month do you all think would be best?

If I could have made the 4th I would, unfortunatly it’s beyond my control.

On the bright side, it will give everyone longer to prepare, and get those repairs and fixes completed as well if applicable. WeWillWin🇬🇧🇺🇸
