ThanksMike
I have 275 60 R20 BFG AT’s on my 110 and they rub slightly, exactly the same wheel and tyre rubs more on my 130, which required some trimming and adjustment to the front wheel arch liner.
The extent of the trimming will depend on the wheel offset, some standard landrover rims maybe ok. Wheel rims with greater offset like the Black Rhinos Alston wheels will increase the rubbing at full lock.
Tyres do vary in size between manufactures and tread patterns with more aggressive sidewall blocks are more likely to rub than a soft off-road tyre like the Trail Terrain or road based tyre.
I’ve tried lift rods and they make little difference to the tyres rubbing and the lift rods negatively impact the on road and off-road handling. When in off-road - lifted mode you end up with suspension bags that feel like pogo sticks and subsequent reduce flex and articulation. It makes for a harsh ride off-road too.
If you have mud flaps fitted you will also need to make a very small trim to the front mud flaps using a Stanley knife.
