It's part of the dynamic stability control system fitted to the last year of production vehicles.
Sorry, can't help with the query. It may be worth asking the makers of the IID Tool as that's a very comprehensive diagnostic tool. I have a dsc light that comes on the dash intermittently.
Fault codes show.ln below. It comes on after steering input rather than abs or tc activation. Would the osf wheel sensor cause dsc light or would that be more likely to trigger the abs/tc lights. Vehicle ![]() Click image to enlarge has recently had a new ignition barrel fitted. Any advice? Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

I think the abs system is tied in with and reacts to input from the steering angle and yaw rate sensor..
All part of traction controll, dynamic stability controll |

Have you cleared the DTCs and see which come up when you get the lamp on?
Or have you done that and you get all of those? ![]() ![]() |

These were showing first off and cleared them.
Waiting to read again. Does dsc element need calibration if it is at fault? Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

Dsc is just the term used to describe the interaction and responses of the abs, yaw rate and steering angle sensor.. it's not a specific unit or controller that can be calibrated as far as I know..

When you had the ignition barrel changed did they remove the steering wheel ? I’m assuming they did.
If they did and inadvertently moved the steering angle sensor on the steering column then it will be out of calibration and need recalibrating with an appropriate tool such as the GAP IDTool. I’m pretty sure a Nanocom can’t do it. |

Cheers.
Error returned fault read again, ![]() Click image to enlarge Cleared, steering angle sensor calibrated. Will see what it does next. Yes I presume steering wheel removed when ignition changed. It's been driven for a week since that work was done. It's a mate truck not mine. Nanocom can do it, I’ve used it a couple of times, it’s hidden away somewhere that I can’t remember off hand. |

I read somewhere that the Nanocom can display the readings from the sensor. Therefore you can use those readings to manually set up the steering angle sensor correctly. However it’s not a dedicated recalibration process built into the tool and therefore more difficult and time consuming to utilise.

I have done it off an Auetl. Recalibration is an option and it also gives live data feedback on sensor, presumably the only way to use the latternis by rotating the sensor so it reads zero/mid value straight ahead? Cheers
