And how's it going? All well, running nicely?
Have we seen the centre console finished yet? Going great James, used more days.
I have held back on the leather as I had a few ideas. With the auto box the cubby sits approx 3" back so I am using the mechanics of an evoque arm rest so that the new lid can slide forward, but still appear to be a factory defender lid. So I made some progress with the cubby. Stripped the evoque arm rest and fitted to the defender cubby after some mods. Then took a quick scan so I could draw up the new cover. I will 3D print this, then when covered in leather just bond it to the sliding piece.

Really pleased with this now the new cover is printed. The rear cubby happens to be the exact width of the Evoque console so I bought a second arm rest of ebay to re trim.

The last piece missing on the outside was the ladder, a custom half design made by SD for the trophy 1 & 2.
Click image to enlarge I just bought the full ladder and had my local aerospace company modify it. Test fit and just to get re coated now. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Also the satin wrap on the bonnet is getting replaced as it had a area not sticking and I am thinking of adding some very subtle topography on the reworked vinyl? I drew up Denali... Yes or No? So good, this is a gem
Side note... We bought our young lad a 3d printer and he is mad on engineering, and I approve! |

Looks great!
Are you not tempted to personalise the contours to somewhere local?
